What to know before you specify.

01

Full sheets for workshop fabrication

Receive profiled sheets for cutting, edging and finishing within your own process. Confirm sheet envelope, face direction, reverse construction and handling before ordering.

02

Cut components and schedules

Submit finished sizes and quantities in a structured cutting list. Elevations help resolve profile centring, continuity and identification across assemblies.

03

Batch and repeatability control

Use approved control samples and maintain revision discipline for repeat releases. Real timber variation, retained spares and later phases should be considered in the procurement plan.

04

Edges, finishing and handoff

Choose whether the workshop or Fluted Studio handles edges and finish. Responsibility for final machining, hardware, assembly and installation must be explicit.

05

Packing and production delivery

Components can be labelled and packed around room, elevation or assembly sequence. Delivery should reflect surface protection, size, access and production dates.

Specification FAQ

Questions,
answered precisely.

Concise guidance for professional design and joinery teams. Project-specific requirements are confirmed on the approved specification.

01Can we apply our own finish?

Yes. Raw profiled sheets or components can be supplied for your finishing process.

02Can you cut from our schedule?

Yes. Provide final millimetre sizes, quantities, direction and assembly references.

03Can edges be supplied completed?

Matching veneer or solid lipping can be discussed where appropriate to the construction.

04How are repeat batches controlled?

Retain the approved specification and control sample, then reference them on each release. Natural timber variation remains expected.
