In short

Fluted Studio wall panels are real oak or walnut veneer machined with a continuous fluted profile — not separate slats glued to felt. Choose 5 mm profiled sheets for your joiner to laminate and fix, or finished panels (about 21.5 mm) edged and lacquered ready to install. Sheets are 2440 or 3050 × 1220 mm.

Planning guide

What to know before you order.

01

Real timber vs acoustic slat panels

Most “fluted wall panels” online are wood-effect or veneered slats on black felt, sold for acoustic treatment. Ours is a continuous machined timber surface with no felt gaps — it looks like fitted joinery rather than a product fixed to the wall. See our guide comparing the two.

02

Sheets or finished panels

Thin 5 mm profiled sheets are the most economical way to cover a large wall; your joiner laminates them to board and fixes them. Finished 21.5 mm panels arrive edged and lacquered, which suits smaller feature walls and panels with exposed edges.

03

Planning joints and corners

A full-height wall usually needs vertical joints every 1220 mm. We plan sheet widths around sockets, corners and doors so joints fall where they look intentional, and can sequence veneer for an even grain.

04

Where fluted walls work best

Behind a bed, a sofa or a TV; along a hallway; in a dining room; or as a lift lobby or reception backdrop. Light grazing across the flutes from a wall washer or window brings the profile to life.

Wall panels / FAQ

Questions,
answered.

Practical answers before you order. Every project is confirmed on a drawing before production.

01Are these acoustic wall panels?

No. They are real timber surfaces without felt backing and we make no acoustic claim. If you need acoustic performance, discuss it with your designer — a fluted timber face can sit in front of separate acoustic treatment.

02How do you fix fluted wall panels?

Thin sheets are laminated to a board by your joiner; finished panels are usually fixed to battens or a sub-frame with concealed fixings. Fixing should be specified by your installer for the wall type.

03How much do real wood fluted wall panels cost?

Profiled 5 mm sheets start from £185 per m² + VAT in oak and £235 per m² in walnut. A 2440 × 1220 oak sheet is about £551 + VAT.

04Can I use them in a commercial building?

Yes, but check the fire performance required for the location with your designer or building control before ordering. We can discuss treated or alternative constructions.

05Can the flutes run horizontally?

Yes. Horizontal fluting makes a room feel wider; vertical fluting makes it feel taller. Sheets run up to 3050 mm along the flutes.
